Chile's overseas investments stood at 1.924 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2010, a year-on-year increase of 61.6 percent, authorities said Monday. Investments to three main destinations -- Peru, Colombia and Brazil -- saw an increase of 81.8 percent, 175.7 percent and 89.5 percent respectively, according to Chile's economic affairs office of Foreign Ministry. Latin America accounted for 84.2 percent of the country's total overseas investments, while Pakistan, Eritrea, Zambia, Congo and Bangladesh have become its new investment destinations.
