Japan's June jobless rate rises to 5.3% |

TOKYO, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Japan's jobless rate in June rose to a seasonally adjusted 5.3 percent, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said in a report on Friday.
Japan's jobless rate rose 0.1 percent from a month earlier totaling 3.44 million people in the recording month, the ministry said in preliminary report.
The figure was down by 40,000 from the same time a year earlier, according to the report.
Separately, the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry announced on Friday that the ratio of job offers to job seekers rose to 0.52 from the previous month's reading of 0.50, meaning in the recording month 52 jobs were available for every 100 job seekers. |
